Motorola unveils iTunes phone

U.S.-based Motorola showed a long-awaited music phone with Apple's iTunes music player software today in France.

A Reuters report says the E1060 model is aimed at music afficianados and will feature the iTunes Music Player, which Motorola said last year will become the default music player on Motorola handsets. Motorola phone users will be able to carry a limited number of songs in the iTunes format.

Wow. I can't wait to see it. This one's been talked about for some time now... Posted by: PatCH on February 15, 2005 12:07 AM
Chances are you hear them well before you see them. I'm not looking forward to them. Posted by: ronn [TypeKey Profile Page] on February 15, 2005 12:50 AM
Sadness. Another reason to disassociate with other humans by means of a musical phone. Will an entire generation never know face to face conversation? Don't mean to be so dramatic--it's just what I see sometimes. Posted by: JW Richard on February 15, 2005 10:08 PM
Don't worry JW, I know exactly what you mean. When I was twelve, we had one phone in the entire home. And it was in the living room. We had to ask permission to use. We better be using it for something important (checking homework, thanking Big Mama for the $5 bill for your birthday, etc.) and don't dare take that long ass cord into another room!! Boy did you get in trouble for that. Kids nowadays, they can't communicate even though it's much easier for them to do so. They're too involved with electronics and non-human interactions. I pity them. Posted by: ronn [TypeKey Profile Page] on February 15, 2005 10:40 PM
