In related news, I finally found specially marked bottles of Pepsi for their free music giveaway within the past couple of weeks. So far, I've won free songs 6 out of 7 times. My first song? Summer Rain by Smokey & Miho after hearing it on Joey's xanga planet. I'm a sucka for the sounds of Brasil!

This isn't random, they're in abc order... You cheated. Posted by: nOva on March 5, 2004 12:06 AM
Oy! I think the preferences of iTunes Publisher put the tunes in alphabetical order. Went to iTunes and checked out the order in the playlist (at least I was smart enough to save it as a playlist!), so the randomness is as it should be. Will you be my editor Papi Nova? You can get the winning Pepsi Itunes bottles by tilting the bottles (@ 45 degrees I think) Look under the cap - you should see if you're a winner BEFORE purchasing the brown water. :) Peace2U Posted by: RL on March 5, 2004 02:23 AM
Ray: I bought my first two bottles and went 50/50. Ever since I've been using the tilt & squint method ever since and have been perfect. To be honest, one of the free song caps was giving to me by a co-worker who thought that iTunes was Mac-only. I probably should put up a mini-FAQ about the giveaway. Have you found any yet? i need to start buying pepsi's so i can win some free music, i like the playlist you have here. Posted by: Lashundra on March 5, 2004 11:48 AM
Lashundra: I thought you'd have dozens of songs by now! LOL I need to step away from Pepsi for a bit. I was just going to give up sodas for a li'l bit when the giveaway was announced. Maybe I'll go trash hopping for all the discarded caps with free songs. Posted by: ronn on March 5, 2004 06:57 PM
I like your list better than mine. I'm going to have to do it again. Posted by: lynne on March 6, 2004 09:02 PM
I guess I got lucky Lynne. Many of those songs are my current favs. This is especially true of Kite Operations. Although another of their songs is my fav by the group. Maybe I'll do this once a week. I want to post more about music anyway. Posted by: ronn on March 6, 2004 10:03 PM
