YAAAMS: Raising Questions & Voices
[ From Cecily (who continues to intrigue and inform, even during her hiatus from the web) ] :
YAAAMS - Young African-Americans Against Media Stereotypes
We have created this Web site for the purpose of raising questions, provoking thoughts, and exposing differences (subtle or blatant) concerning the treatment of African-Americans in the media. It is imperative that changes be made to ensure that African-Americans receive equal exposure and have a say in their future image.

What is going on with the YAAAMS website? It seems to have interference from another site. When I go to the site at www.yaaams.org, I get some weird 18th century art and blank pages???? Please let me know what the problem is because I really enjoy this website and think it is such an innovative and well needed site for expressing ideas on African Americans in the media. Thank you.
Whenever I try to go to the website, I get linked to Amazon.com instead. Whassup?
I ain't part of YAAAMS, don't know what to tell y'all.
